Wat kun je met een doolhof
Als je kijkt naar de geschiedenis van doolhoven en labyrinten, dan wordt snel duidelijk dat het twee hele verschillende dingen zijn.
Een labyrint werd ca. 6.000 jaar al geleden gebruikt voor spirituele doeleinden, terwijl een doolhof vanaf het eind van de 15de eeuw bekend is en puur bedoeld was om een tuin te verfraaien en als vermaak.
Zo kom je tegenwoordig ook nog doolhoven en labyrinten tegen. Een labyrint wordt gebruikt om tot rust te kunnen komen, tot inkeer, tot zelfreflectie. En biedt geen enkele uitdaging, want het doel is altijd te vinden. Een labyrint heeft maar één ingang en één uitgang. En meestal is het doel gelegen in het midden. Er zijn geen dwaalsporen, zijweggen, bruggen of tunnels.
Een doolhof kom je op vele plaatsen tegen. In de meeste gevallen zijn ze bedoeld om mensen te vermaken. Doolhoven kun je van verschillende materialen maken, in vele uitvoeringen en afmetingen. De kosten van een doolhof variëren daarom van (bijna) gratis tot enkele tonnen.
Waarom een doolhof ?
- Een doolhof (of labyrint) is een bijzondere en leuke aanvulling op bestaande attracties. Je kunt een doolhof snel realiseren en het voegt meteen veel speelplezier toe.
- Het is vrijwel overal te realiseren doordat het van een veelheid aan materialen te maken is. Simpel gezegd: een doolhof past altijd bij andere bestaande attracties.
- Een maïsdoolhof is een bijzonder soort doolhof en vormt een prima aanvulling op ander vermaak in de ‘agrarische sector’.
- De verplaatsbare doolhoven, doolkleden en borden zijn altijd en overal te gebruiken.
Kortom: een doolhof kan er altijd bij!
